Compress: Compression is the reduction in size of data in order to save space or transmission time.
Extract : Is the process of removing file from an archive (ZIP) file. This "remove" is a non-destructive move. (i.e. a copy of the files still exists in the archive).
Here we assumed that you have already logged into cPanel’s File Manager.

Steps(Compress and Extract Files):-
- Select the file you want to compress. Multiple files can be selected by holding control key.
- Click Compress button in top menu.
- Select Compression Type and click Compress files button.
- Compression process progresses automatically.
- Click close to continue after completion of this process.
That’s it. You have Compressed and Extract the files.
