How to password protect a directory in cPanel

 

Password  protect a directory: You can limit access to certain resources of your website by password protecting the directories they are in.

We assumed that you have already logged into cPanel.

Steps (Password protect a directory):-

  • Click the Password Protect Directories under Security section.
  • Select the directory that you want to password protected.
  • Then enable the security settings by name as well as clicking on that checkbox.
  • And save it.

In this way, we successfully passwordprotect a directory.
